Introducing Otlet’s Shelf

I’ve been meaning to write this housekeeping post on changes, upgrades, and new sections of the site for awhile, but I’m very excited that it’s also the announcement of a new tool called Otlet’s Shelf, a bookmarklet and Tumblr theme for Amazon.com created by Andrew LeClair and I.

Jarred Bishop said, “My biggest gripe with eternal scrolling is that you lose sense of where you are (or where you’ve got to within the content).” I agree. Hayden Hunter developed a smart, attractive solution into his Tumblr theme, Prologue.
The Cargo Theme by Jarred Bishop has got to be one of the hottest, most well developed, inspired themes for tumblr to date. Note: I’ve found it to be a bit buggy. Jarred’s also developed a theme called 101.
I like the Vertigo theme by Matthew Buchanan. Matthew has pretty much the best lookin Tumblr site I’ve ever seen. Also, link over to Cactuslab, a Web & iPhone Development Studio co-founded by Matthew. Looks like they do good work over there.
The Beta Prime Tumblr theme by Evan Walsh is a perfect match for someone who’d like to integrate a Tumblr feed with Indexhibit™. Where was this theme a year and a half ago? Evan also developed the Atlas theme.
